RULES
Short version: play fair, don't ruin it for others. Long version below — worth five minutes before you dive in.
No cheating
No fly hacks, kill aura, speed hacks, x-ray, or any other client-side modification that gives you an unfair advantage. The server actively monitors for this. Legitimate play is never affected — repeated, high-confidence violations result in an automatic ban.
No griefing or stealing
Don't destroy other players' builds or steal from unprotected storage. Vertex is hard survival, not a free-for-all — staff decide griefing cases and punish accordingly.
PvP is allowed
Player-vs-player combat is on by default anywhere in the world, unless a specific player has stated otherwise (for example, asking not to be attacked at their own base). Respect that when it's said.
No exploiting or duplicating items
If you find a bug that lets you duplicate items, glitch through blocks, or break the economy, report it to staff. Using it instead of reporting it is a bannable offense.
Respect everyone in chat
No hate speech, harassment, or targeted insults. No spamming. No advertising other servers, Discords, or links without staff permission.
Build within spawn protection rules
The area within 15 blocks of spawn is admin-only. Everywhere else, respect the 10,000-block world border — it's there so the map stays a size that's actually explorable.
One account per player
No alt accounts to bypass bans, farm extra homes, or manipulate the economy.
Staff decisions are final
If you disagree with a ruling, you can open a ticket with staff in Discord to discuss it calmly. Arguing in-game or escalating won't change the outcome and may make things worse for you.
How enforcement works
Minor issues typically follow this path. Severe violations (cheating, exploiting, hate speech) can skip straight to a ban.
Something not covered here?
Use common sense, and if you're unsure whether something's allowed, ask in Discord before doing it.
